Wild Adventure on the Transkei Coast

We have linked together some of the best single track this area has to offer for a morning adventure of unspoiled scenery, producing an unforgettable MTB experience.

Port Edward Wild Coast Mountain Bike Ride

We meet at the Wild Coast Casino and head out along the trails to the Mzamba Suspension Bridge where we will get to test your skills on the swaying bridge – if you dare!

Next  is a big portage to overcome before we get to the top of the escarpment where we will be rewarded with some great views and some good elevation to head on-wards.

We ride along a number of cattle and goat tracks which we have pieced together over the years, skirting around numerous river valleys. Along this scenic inland route you will see a variety of waterfalls and landscapes.

We take a break at Nyamani Falls where our seconding vehicle will meet us with some tasty treats and some refreshments for the rest of the ride.

Shortly after Nyamani Falls we will take the turn off towards the beach jumping between single track and jeep tracks as we descend through the Red Desert of Xolobeni.

The ride along the beach will be timed with the spring low where we will ride the hard packed sand on the ocean’s edge back to the Wild Coast Casino at Port Edward.
